Please refer to the Bike Selection, Sizing, Spec page to select the correct size frame. Sizing charts are also found on each Bike page in the Sizing Tab below the main image. As a rule of thumb it’s better to get a frame that is a little too small than one that is too large. You can adjust the seat post and other components, such as the stem, to get the fit that is best for you. There must be a least one inch of clearance between the top tube and the crotch of the rider.

Each frame is made of High Tensile Steel. All tubes are precision tig welded for maximum strength. When the sad day comes when your bike has provided its last ride and is destined for the junk heap, rest easy, the frame can be recycled again to go into more bikes or other steel parts, continuing the cycle of reuse.

All you need are very basic mechanical skills. Your bike will come 85% put together in the box. All you will have to do is put the front wheel on, the seat on the seat post and onto the frame, put the pedals on, the handlebars on and adjust the brakes.
Assembly Video:

You should be able to put everything on with just a number 4 and 5 allen/hex tool a 15mm wrench, a flat head screwdriver and a phillips screwdriver.

This can be confusing for many people. A fixed gear bike has a rear cog that continually rotates along with the pedals. This means that you can’t stop pedaling once you start moving. In other words, the pedals are always moving and you can’t coast. This sounds very strange and takes some getting used to but it makes for a fun ride because you feel so connected to the bike. Single speed / free wheel means you are riding with just one gear but you can coast and relax while riding. This is the standard configuration most people will be comfortable with and it is how our bikes are shipped. The rear wheel comes equipped with a flip/flop hub, so you can have the option of riding fixed gear or free wheel.

Should I ride fixed gear or single speed?

This is up to you. The best part about our bikes is that they come with both a fixed gear cog and a free wheel single speed cog. This is called a flip flop hub. All you have to do is flip the back wheel around and you can change from freewheel to fixed gear. This way you can change back and forth and learn to ride fixed gear. It’s almost like having two bikes in one!

How much do your bikes weigh?

Fully assembled our bikes only weigh 23 to 25 lbs. This varies slightly depending on bar type selected and the size of the frame.

Why are there no quick release levers on the bike?

Our bikes are built on the premise of track bikes. Traditionally these bikes are ridden on a track in arenas where it is unnecessary to have fast wheel changes, or any change in seat post height. We are following this tradition with our fixies. An added advantage is that it makes it much harder to steal your bikes wheels or seat if they are securely attached with bolts.

Why Choose Big Shot Bikes?

Expertise: As one of the first companies to offer bike customization, Big Shot has become an industry leader, not only for single-speed bikes, but in the field of mass customization as well.
Sustainability Big Shot was created in 2009. Since that time, other bike companies have come and gone, trying to duplicate the quality and affordability of a Big Shot. The fact that Big Shot has not only survived, but thrived, tells you plenty about our business versus our competitors.
Passion As avid bike riders ourselves, we know the importance of a durable, quality bike being affordable. Big Shot was created as a way to offer a bike that could be enjoyed by both first-time bike owners and seasoned cyclists, without breaking the bank. We love what we do, and we hope that love is evident when you receive your Big Shot.
Assembled in the USA All assembly and quality control is done right here in Fort Collins, Colorado. While some companies ‘hide’ address and contact information, our facilities, including the showroom and warehouse, are always open to the public during business hours.
Community Involvement Being located in a bike-friendly community like Fort Collins has provided Big Shot with numerous opportunities, each of which has helped to make Big Shot what it is today. Big Shot returns the support by donating to local charities, and by staying involved with the local foundations and the many, many festivals of the Northern Colorado area.
Higher Quality With the bright colors and eye-catching design, the quality of a Big Shot Bike is often mistakenly overlooked. By offering high-quality components and a 4130 Chromoly frame, Big Shot offers one of the best bikes available in this price range, far superior to the crowd of imitators and knock-offs that are flooding into the market.

As a company dedicated to satisfying customers, we will do what it takes to make your bike-purchasing experience an easy one. How long will it take to build and ship my bike?

We build all of our bikes on demand - therefore, bikes are built in the order in which they were received. These times can vary due to demand and inventory levels but generally we are able to ship bikes within 3 days of your order.

What credit cards do you accept?

We accept Visa, Discover, Master Card and American Express.

I do not have a credit card. Can I pay another way?

You can use PayPal, Google or Amazon Payments at checkout.

What is your return and warranty policy?

All Big Shot Bikes carry a one-year warranty on the frame and fork against defects, construction flaws, and craftsmanship to the original owner from the date of purchase. All components are covered for sixty days. So if your bike shows up with a broken or defective part don’t sweat it! We will make it right. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with anything you have purchased from us, we want to hear about it. Tell us what the problem is and how we can fix it. Our policy is to make our customers happy. If you crash your bike, run it over with your car, or ride it off the roof and break the frame, I’m afraid we won’t fix it. We have to draw the line somewhere. All warranty parts must first get a return approval code.
